Session 3: Unexpected Rescue — 1,207 xp

Still making our way through the abandoned fort. Although Grey Lynn tried to commit suicide-by-snake, the strength of our group prevailed, and we managed to keep her safe. We battled further monsters, including a terrifying ogre, but it was a nest of large and aggressive rats that proved our greatest triumph. The nest was directly in our path — blocking the stairs down to the lower levels, and Sylvia hit upon the notion of allowing Grey Lynn to talk to them, and direct them to the carcass of a huge lizard we had just dispatched. We proceeded entirely unmolested and no one contracted any illnesses from rat-bite.

The ogre was keeping a pair of merchants and a gnome in his “larder,” for later eating. Unexpectedly, all were alive, and we fixed their door to lock from the inside, so they could wait for us while we continued the search for Binni.

I am not hopeful.

Session 2: Boys Will Be Boys — 1,252 xp

Charmed two orcs over the last week. Still trying to figure out the opening moves of my “criminal empire.”

The Chief set flyers out offering 500 gold for the capture and return of Binni. I guess the kid finally left his bread baking in the wrong oven. Sylvia caught wind where Binni was headed, so we stopped by Dirber’s temple to offer him the boy’s safety before we left town. I don’t know what kind of son Binni was to Dirber, but the old man didn’t seem to care too much about it. Still, might be a double-drop in the making.

Killed some frogs and a giant spider at the old fort Binni is supposed to be holed up in. Also found a gang of bandits using the place as a headquarters. (At least they had some loot buried.) Might have to accept not finding Binni alive.

Session 1: Gone Fishin' — 741 xp

This time I remembered to straighten my teeth before healing myself, so I was able to reposition the ones that had been knocked crooked. I hope Wolf doesn’t get sick of mopping up my blood. (That’s a joke. I don’t think the floor of that place has ever been mopped.)

Ginger won a treasure map in a poker game. I assumed it was a fake, but there did turn out to be a bit of money at the end of it. We met a guide along the way, a gnome named Stormy we rescued from an ogre. I might want to go back and pay that ogre a visit some day.

The barracuda got away. Too bad. I was looking forward to a plate of fish and chips.
